Well two years ago I changed the head on the van. Last month changed the cush drive dougnuts. Recently we noticed a drop in pressure and power.
After inspecting the engine my father in law noticed that the gasket has blown our the manifold and the rocker cover bolts had come loose slightly.
After removing the cowling we tightened the rocker cover bolts and then siliconed the gasket back in place and tightened up everything, the bus feels like it did when i first did the head.
Anyone know why it would of come loose or is it just a thing that needs to be tightened now and then?

Just thought it might be interesting if anyone wants too.
Brand new to forum and I would appreciate any and all advice. Have recently replaced; radiator; dogbone; right hand engine mount; front and rear brake pads; harmonic balancer seal; Serpentine belt and hydraulic belt tensioner.
It seems the front Lower wishbone bushings are shot and am about to replace the whole arms (as cheaper than new busing!!) but someone told me that you need to lower the front subframe to get them in and out... I was thinking of compressing the front spring, as that is easier... any thoughts??
Hi, new to this forum. Just bought my first Estima 1996, love it. It came with a failed head gasket, I've managed to remove engine and take off head, which doesn't appear to be cracked but there are 2 small cracks at the bottom of the pistons, i'm not an expert mechanic, just a keen DIYer, I would reallyy appreciate some help if i upload a picture for someone to tell me if i need to do anything about these 2 cracks? on cylinder 2 & 3.
I plan to have head skimmed and put full gasket set on her.
Thanks in advance
