Saw this link on TOC......love the "running in" sticker....something you just don't see now.
I'd been getting a bit of brake judder from my 1995 2.2 and inspection found the pads a bit thin so some new ones were sourced. Fitting them we found the discs really ought to also be replaced while in there so I'm just about to order some but find a bewildering choice available so any tips please - especially on what dimensions I need (car currently elsewhere so I can't easily measure what I have)?
I have a weird chugging feeling when driving. Its fine most of the time but if I take my foot off and come down from say 70mph to around 50mph and sit at low revs (1800rpm) I feel a slight chug chug almost as though its misfiring or perhaps like towing a heavy trailer that's pulling on the car. When accelerating again it disappears. Its also fine when accelerating from 0 to 50 and above. The rev counter is stable and I can't hear any noticeable misfire at any speed or revs. Its almost as though its being slightly starved of fuel but as it accelerates and pulls ok I doubt it . I am sorry...
